Cafédirect is run by a board of eight:
- one nominee from each shareholder
- three independent non-executive directors
- and Cafédirect's Managing Directors
- three producer representatives, since 2002 - two from coffee and one from tea - attend strategic board meetings twice a year to help shape future developments of the company.
The bi-annual producer conference also feeds into the company's direction and development.
